Food And Beverage Giants And Newbies Are Providing Hurricane Harvey Relief

The food industry has come together to give a massive aid to the citizens who are affected by the Hurricane Harvey in Texas’ Houston-area. These include food corporations, celebrities, restaurants and businesses. One can find giants like Amazon to family-owned brewery to small restaurants coming for the aid, opening doors for those who are in need. Listed below are five such food businesses.

Starbucks

$250,000 is the amount given to toward Harvey Hurricane Relief by the Starbucks Foundation. There is also provision for U.S.-based customers who would like to contribute as well. These funds will then be sent to the American Red Cross.

Amazon

Amazon along with Whole Foods will match donations on amazon.com and send up to $1 million to the Red Cross.

The Family Beer Co.

A brewery which is owned by Jensen Ackles has started a fundraiser together with his wife and parents for the victims on Crowd Rise. He has already raised $73,492 in a day and was aiming for $100,000 in total. Ackles is a star on the popular show Supernatural.

PepsiCo.

A generous contribution of $1 million donation was made by PepsiCo. to the Red Cross.

Walmart

The Walmart Foundation too is all set to provide aid from their end and have announced to donate money and products from their stores. The donations will go to the Red Cross, Salvation Army and Convoy of Hope.
