Navaratna means nine gems. That is what the menu promises, and that’s exactly what you get. The grand relaunch of Navaratna, the Royal Indian Cuisine saw the evening filled music, glamour and our favourite part, amazing food. The evening started off with music, fashion show and followed by the official relaunching of the menu by the renowned actor, Mr Santhosh Pratap. Dr P.G Periasamy, chairman of PGP Group of companies and Mr Malolan, vice president, Cognizant were the other dignitaries present at the launch.
The nine models who walked down the ramp reflected the elegance and the glamour that Le Royal Meridien stands for. The launch was followed by the dinner that everyone had been waiting for. The interiors of the restaurant revealed a traditional royal touch, with sandalwood finishing and beautiful chandeliers. Even the cutlery carried a hint of royalty.
The hotel has always been proud of the restaurant, and now they can be even prouder. Mr Irfaan Khan, the executive chef has curated a menu that he described as something that reflects every cuisine right from Kashmir to Kanyakumaari. With five starters and four main courses, the dinner was an incredible delight for everyone present.The starters included Kurkure Panner Tikka, Kalan Melagu Peratal, Shaan -E- Tandoor, Chappali Kebab, Galouti Kebab. The main course had Saiva Meen Kuzhambu, Badshahi Panner, Khaja Gosht, Awadhi Murgh Kali Mirch. For the dessert, we loved the Athipazhayam Halwa!
