Hey That’s A Really Cool Phone! Thanks, It’s Pepsi.
One fine morning the product developers of PepsiCo woke and thought to themselves “juices, sodas, energy drinks, we’ve done it all. What next?” And for some absolutely whacked reason they came up with the most unusual idea a drink magnate can ever get! A smartphone. Yep, Pepsi, in collaboration with Android, is all set to release its smartphone in China soon.
Pepsi has always been up to date with trends and in fact a step ahead, at times. And considering that in todays age technology and communication is key, a smartphone is what the soda giant wants to add to its portfolio.
Tech Specs
The first in line will be tagged the Pepsi P1 and could hit the China market as early as 20th October, says Mobipicker.
The phone’s technical specifications include a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 16GB internal storage, a 13-megapixel camera, and will be running on Android 5.1 OS. According to the leak, the price will be CNY 1,299 (approx. $205 USD), quoted The Daily Meal.
Name Game
Although, Pepsi doesn’t plan to be directly involved in manufacturing the phones, it will lend the gadget its name and logo. In addition, it will also work towards customer engagement and creative product marketing like it has done for its various other products in the past.
