Matthew McConaughey’s Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway

Matthew McConaughey is making the headlines, and no, it’s not for his hunky good looks or southern drawl. In fact, McConaughey showed us just why it’s the season of giving, with a massive Thanksgiving Turkey giveaway on the occasion of the Oscar-winning actor’s birthday.

People reports that McConaughey gave out 4,500 turkeys to the people of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, and made sure that every family within the city limits had one. However, the Hollywood heartthrob wasn’t alone, 250 volunteers were already there, spreading cheer when the actor made a surprise appearance.

It was all part of the Wild Turkey Gives Back initiative, which sets out to spread holiday cheer in its hometown. According to Delish, McConaughey acts as creative director for the bourbon brand.

“Thank you for being here and giving up your Saturday for this,” McConaughey said to the volunteers in a video posted on Facebook. “We believe in our family that the more you’re thankful for, the more you’re going to create in your life to be thankful for. Let’s go make some people happy.”

It’s pretty evident that everyone there probably had one of their best Thanksgivings ever, this is not a man that you want to lose in 10 days!
