The New Rosé Jelly Is Wine & Jam Put Together!
Ever dreamt of getting drunk at breakfast, or at least get the feeling of starting the day with something that tasted like your favourite alcohol? Well, there is now a bread condiment – a jelly to be specific – that’ll do just that. Kick start your day with a delicious dose of alcohol flavoured toast, that is.
Behold, Drunk Jelly. As the name suggests, the jelly is the good ol’ berry condiment but with a slight tweak. It boasts of hints of wine. And while we place our bets on the rosé jelly – because what is better than a rosé hinted toast – there are a bunch of other variants (seven, actually) in their range as well.
The revolutionary jelly is the brainchild of Marty Millman and her boyfriend Danny, who had the brilliant brainwave of blending together food and the drink to concoct the “fancy wine jelly” that is currently taking breakfasts in the US by storm!
According to product description on the brand’s website, the rosé flavored Drunk Jelly is made with sweet rosé wine and has notes of cherry, watermelon, and lime. Not a rosé fan? That’s okay because there are other wine varieties as well including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Moscato, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir too!
Craving some of this fancy jelly? You can order your own jar through the Drunk Jelly website or the Drunk Jelly Etsy page. The 8-ounce jars are priced at USD 9, while the 4-ounce jars are for USD 6 each. However, if you (like us) can’t decide which one to try first, you can also purchase a Wine Jelly Flight and get 4-ounce jars of all 7 flavors!
