- 4 cups of diced Jackfruit
- cup ½of Cowpeas
- tsp ¼of Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp of Chilly Powder
- salt to taste

- 1 tsp of Cumin Seeds

Instructions
- Before you begin, soak cowpeas for 15 minutes and pressure cook for 15 minutes.
- In a pot, add the jackfruit, turmeric and chilly powder along with salt to taste.
- Add a cup of water to the pot and cook for 8 minutes or until the jackfruit has been fully cooked.
- Then add the drained cowpeas and cook for about 5 minutes.
- While that's cooking, add coconut and cumin seeds in a grinder and grind to a smooth paste with a tablespoon of water.
- Add the paste to the cooked jackfruit and simmer for about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Meanwhile, add coconut in a frying pan with oil and roast until browned.
- Add the tempering ingredients which are mustard, dal, chillies and curry leaves.
- After frying for a minute, add the tempering to the jackfruit gravy and mix well.
- Remove from heat and serve.
