Chef Mojo Pork Cubanos Recipe

on

Foodies would all know by now that work will soon start on a Bollywood remake of the Jon Favreau film ‘Chef’ that will star Saif Ali Khan. There are rumours abound that Khan, who isn’t particularly applauded for his skill in the kitchen will take cooking lessons to convincingly play Carl Casper, the chef who quits his restaurant job to drive a food truck through America.

What’s Carl Cooking?

As one would expect, throughout the movie, we’re presented with a whole host of delicious food visuals. Take for instance that Pasta Aglio e Plio that Carl makes for Molly. Or those Mojo Pork Cubanos that Carl and his son enjoy as a bonding moment:

We’ll bet these have you drooling, right? Well, why not whip up some Cubanos for yourself?

Mojo Pork Cubanos

The Cubano, more popularly known as The Cuban sandwich, is a ham and cheese sandwich with a twist, originally made in cafes for Cuban immigrants in Florida. The traditional Cuban sandwich is made using Cuban bread, mustard, glazed ham or slow roasted pork and a layer of dill peppers.

Chef Ray Choi, who Favreau roped in to conceptualise the food and the food scenes that would be seen in ‘Chef’ created this recipe himself, specifically for the film.
