Chocolate-Frosted Heart Cookies Recipe

These cookies are the perfect indulgence and are fairly simple to make.

Instructions
  1. Combine the butter, sugar and whisk.
  2. Whisk in the egg, orange peel and vanilla.
  3. Sift in the flour and salt and mix well.
  4. Knead this mixture and then divide it into two balls.
  5. Wrap the two balls of dough in clingfilm and refrigerate.
  6. After an hour, roll the dough to 1/8 inch thickness.
  7. Cut hearts out of the dough with a heart shaped cookie cutter.
  8. Spread the cookies across an ungreased baking sheet, about one inch apart.
  9. Bake the cookies in an oven at 325 degrees for 15 minutes.
  10. Take the cookies out and allow them to cool.
  11. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave.
  12. Do the same with the white chocolate.
  13. Dip half of each cookie into the dark chocolate and half into the white chocolate.
  14. Sprinkle the cookies with the sprinkles and then allow them to stand.
  15. Once the cookies have cooled store them in a container.
