To Be Mixed Together For The Rice Mixture
- 1 cup chopped cucumber
- 1 cup grated carrot
- 1 1/2 cups chilled whisked fresh curds dahi
- 3/4 cup steamed rice cooled and mashed slightly, chawal
- 1/4 cup Chopped coriander dhania
- 1/4 tsp green chilli paste
- salt to taste
Other Ingredients
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds jeera
- 1 tbsp urad dal split black lentils
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida hing
- 6 leaves Curry kadi patta

Instructions
- Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds.
- When the seeds crackle, add the urad dal, asafoetida and curry leaves and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Pour the tempering over the rice mixture and mix well.
- Serve immediately. .
