Young Sheldon MeeMaw’s French Toast Recipe
While looking frantically for MeeMaw’s brisket recipe, George Jr discovers that she adds vanilla essence in her whipped cream while making French Toast. We tried it out and it was amazing!

- 6 eggs
- 2 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 6 slices bread
- 4 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch Salt
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- maple syrup

- In a mixing bowl take the cream, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
- Whisk it all together and pour it in a dish.
- Soak the bread in it for 10 minutes on each side.
- Heat butter in a pan and grill the bread on each side till crispy.
- Stack up the toasts when ready and add extra butter and maple syrup on top.
