‘Waitress’ Spaghetti Pie Recipe
Don’t we just love movies that have food all over their plot line? One such movie, which came out in 2007, was Waitress. The movie revolves around actor Keri Russell who’s a waitress and has a knack for creating gastronomical marvels. The film features a number of pies made by her, one of which is the spaghetti pie.
The spaghetti pie is a baked dish with a spaghetti base doused in marinara sauce and cheese with spinach. Follow this recipe to bake yourself some of this delicious savory pie.

- 15 ounce ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 250 g frozen spinach
- 4 cups cooked spaghetti
- 2 tsp basil
- 2 tsp oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
- 50 g mozzarella cheese grated

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- Crack the egg into the mixing bowl and discard the shell.
- Add the ricotta cheese and the marinara sauce to the bowl and use the wooden spoon to combine them with the egg.
- After thawing the spinach in the microwave, squeeze the water out of the spinach, and add the spinach to the bowl.
- Add the spaghetti, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper and stir until well combined, and transfer to the greased pie plate. Sprinkle the mozzarella on top.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the cheese melts and starts to brown.
- Let it cool a bit and transfer each serving onto a plate.
