What If You Could Lose Weight By Eating Pizza Every Day?


Yes, that’s right. This isn’t some hot new diet, or a commercial, but it’s actually true. Florida cyclist Matt McClellan ate 6 slices of pizza everyday and managed to lose 10 kgs and lower his cholesterol. 

He calls it the pizza diet, and it’s a healthy one at that. We know what you’re thinking, what is the catch? Well, McClellan is actually very active, exercising to up to 5 hours a week,  by running, swimming, or cycling. He also doesn’t just pick up a greasy pepperoni slice from his favourite pizza place down the street. He made sure to only buy whole-wheat crust pizza and pile on the healthy toppings like vegetables and avocado. 


What about the cheese? Well, he follows the all-important rule, less is more. After eating a slice of pizza every two hours every day, he lost 24 pounds, lowered his cholesterol significantly, and cut his body fat percentage in half.

“My intent is for people to change their perception of pizza as junk food,” McClellan told Pop Sugar. “I don’t expect everyone to do a pizza-only diet.”
