So what’s the deal with ‘Kosher’?
We always hear of Kosher salt being used here and there. Does it make a difference to taste? What is it, anyway? So we’re here to walk you through it!
1. No Iodine
Kosher salt is not iodized, so if you’re looking to keep out the Iodine, then throw some right in!
2. Less Sodium
1 tablespoon of table salt has about twice the sodium of 1 tablespoon of kosher salt. Woah!
3. Salty, much?
Kosher salt is coarser than table salt. This means, when the recipe asks for a pinch, you’re actually pinching.
4. Best for marinades
Kosher salt is recommended for most marinades in various cuisines.
