Enjoy The Traditional Umbrella Dance Performance As A Part Of Chinese New Year Celebrations At Hakkasan, Bandra (West)
The Umbrella Dance is a very popular folk dance during the Han Dynasty in China. The dance originated from a district in China well known for making umbrellas, thus the Umbrella Dance shows many local elements of this district. On this Saturday, 9th February, 2019 Hakkasan in Bandra (West) will host the traditional Umbrella Dance Performance as a part of Chinese New Year Celebrations.
In celebration of Chinese New Year, Hakkasan, will welcome guests with a limited-edition signature menu by Expat Head Chef Raymond Wong. The festive menu includes small eats like Three style mushroom dumpling with water chestnut and pinenut and the Shacha Chicken Puff. From wok dishes, choose the Asparagus and shimeji mushroom in champagne honey sauce, the Stir fry pomfret with onion and single head garlic in Toban chilli sauce 0r the Wok-fry lobster with spinach. Owing to its long shape, noodles symbolise longevity, the Hand pulled noodle with char siu chicken pairs well with the wok dishes.
Desserts include the Wealth pot, a six layered dessert of soya caramel, almond dacquoise, feuilletine base, mandarin compote, mandarin chocolate chantilly and mandarin granite and the Fortune macaron that are theatrically presented with a refreshing mandarin filling make for a perfect end to your celebratory meal.
Hakkasan’s special cocktail – Liao Liao comes with dried Rosella infused Vodka, Kumquat (Orange citrus fruit) that is considered to be auspicious and used to welcome wealth and good fortune.
