Game Of Thrones Rabbit Stew Recipe
We’ve been unable to shake off the funny feeling that we’ve been missing or forgetting something all this week. Today it struck us; Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday has passed by and there’s been no new Game of Thrones episode! Pause while we have a little cry.
Okay, we’re back. If, like us, you’re suffering from serious GOT withdrawal, we bet we can interest you in some comfort food inspired by the show. Today, we’re drooling over a delicious rabbit stew, inspired by the Game of Thrones official cookbook.
The Rabbit Stew’s Appearance In The Show
Remember when Arya and The Hound were wandering through the Westoroisi countryside? At one point they came across a father and daughter – whose name is Sally – near Fairmet, who offer to feed and house Arya and the Hound if they can do some labour.
Sally’s father claims that Sally makes delicious rabbit stew; “Sally here makes rabbit stew just like her mom used to.” When given the stew, both Arya and Clegane practically inhale it.
Looks delicious, does it not? Here’s a rabbit stew recipe you can try – serve it with hard bread or potatoes.
Ingredients:
1 rabbit, cut into 12 – 15 pieces
½ stick butter
1 medium carrot, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 tbsp vinegar
1 cup broth
3 garlic cloves, chopped
1 inch ginger, chopped
4 cloves
Recipe:
Sauté the onions in the butter until translucent.
Add the whole coves ginger and garlic and sauté for two more minutes.
Add the rabbit pieces and sauté for 4-5 minutes.
Pour in the broth.
Stir well and add the carrots.
Turn the flame down to simmer and stir in the vinegar.
Allow the stew to cook until the carrots become tender.
