8 Overnight Oats Recipes That Will Change The Way You Eat Breakfast
For those that don’t know, overnight oats are just oats that are soaked overnight so that it absorbs the liquid that you put them in. Which means that they can be soaked in almost anything, it can be either milk or yogurt or a combination of the two. But remember that it needs to be equal parts of everything. So if you’re using one cup of oats, then you have to use one cup of milk/yogurt. Then mix any sweeteners of dried fruits you want to the mix. Store this in a sealed container of any kind and let it soak for a minimum of three hours. And keeping them overnight just increases the chances of it soaking up all the liquid fully by the time you’re ready to eat it.
And when you wake up in the morning, you can just add fresh fruits, toppings and whatever other flavours you wish to complete the whole thing. It’s really simple and not at all complicated. Once you’ve got the base mixture down, then you can add whatever and do anything you wish with the oats.
Banana, honey and almonds
Slice the bananas, and the almonds and along with the honey, mix it into the oats with milk and yogurt. Stir it up nicely and then seal it. When you open it in the morning, add a few more slices of banana and sprinkle some honey over it and you’re done.
Blueberry and almonds
Add the sliced almonds into the oats and dairy mixture and keep it sealed for the night. In the morning, pour some freshly picked and washed blueberries over the oats and sprinkle some more almonds and serve.
