Dessert
If Cupcake and Macaron have a baby, you get Cupcaron!
It’s been a while since we had a hybrid dessert explosion. The last we remember was the cronut – a combination croissant and donut which took the world by storm. Well, this new hybrid from The Petite Sweets in Houston has what it takes to go down in the Guinness Book of Hybrid Desserts.
It’s called the Cupcaron. Yes, you guessed it right, it’s a combination of a Cupcake and Macaron. It’s so simple that we can’t believe we haven’t thought of it before!
This sweet Frankenstein comes in different flavours including Salted Caramel, Cookies and Cream and a Red Velvet version. The cupcaron is not just fun to pronounce, it’s soft and and fluffy on the bottom, crispy and chewy on the top and is a way to enjoy that cup cake feel without the excessive amount of icing commonly dumped on top of the bun.
The Cupcaron costs 2.50$ a piece. They don’t have the lines that the cronut had but we bet it’s not long before the word gets around!
