Did You Know That There’s A Secret Faasos Website Where You Can Still Order Food Online?

on

Just over six months after going app-only, Faasos, a food delivery service has inconspicuously re-launched its website using a new URL.

All About Faasos

Launched in 2011, Faasos began as a QSR and then went on to establish itself as a large player in the online food ordering business. Currently, it operates in major Indian cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Pune.

Using its app (and now, apparently, its website too), customers can place orders for a variety of meals such as wraps, all day breakfasts and rice & biryani at pocket friendly prices.

When Faasos When App Only

In August last year, Faasos announced that it was shifting to an app only model. One reason the company gave for this shift was that their customer base consisted largely of smartphone owning, tech savvy users.

Additionally, it stated that the app would allow the company to provide customers with real time information, such as meal availability, order time and to make it easier for customers to customise their selection.

App

Here’s what the official Faasos website has to say about its app:
” Faasos app is like your personal kitchen. Serving all 4 meals, 365 days a year & within minutes! Well, maybe, just maybe, a tad more exciting {unless you are Gordon Ramsay}, ‘cause it throws up frequent surprises (mostly pleasant) all the time – from dosas and aloo parathas to wraps, biryanis, pastas, noodles and curries. Best part? You can carry this kitchen wherever you go – office, home, girlfriend’s home, her parents’ home (okay, that’s stretching it too far, but you get the point, right? Right!)”

At present, the app is available in both the Apple app store and the Google Play store.

The Two Websites

While the original Faasos website – Faasos.com – is currently purely directing customers towards its app, NextBigWhat.com unearthed a parallel Faasos website – https://order.faasos.io/ – that still offers customers the chance to order online.

However, as of now, Faasos has not made an official statement regarding the alternate website, so it’s possible to assume it’s some sort of test. What’s your take?
