Emami Plans To Invest Rs.200 Crore In Expanding Its Edible Oil Market
Emami Agrotech, the agriculture subsidiary of Emami Limited, a FMCG company has announced plans to launch its brand of edible oils across the country. To do this, it will invest Rs.200 crore.

At present, Emami produces 5,300 tonnes of edible oil a day at a refinery in West Bengal and one in Andhra Pradesh. It also plans to set up an oil mill in Rajasthan which will process 500 tonnes of mustard seeds into oil.
Emami Agrotech will launch the edible oils under its Healthy and Tasty brand across India in phases. It will start by launching the oil in Maharashtra, Delhi, Utar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Bihar and Odisha followed by launches in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Jharkhand.
Aditya V Agarwal, Director, Emami Group said, “We are very excited to introduce our edible oil brand – Emami Healthy & Tasty in the national market. H&T, since its launch in West Bengal, has become one of the fastest growing edible oil brands with a CAGR of around 50% for the last 3 years.”
The brand also announced that it would be associating with Bollywood superstar, Amitabh Bachchan to promote the brand.
