Harry Potter Treacle Fudge Recipe
The opening night of Harry Potter and The Cursed Child is just around the corner, and in celebration we’re doing a collection of Harry Potter themed recipes over the next few weeks. Today, we’re thinking of making some treacle fudge, first made by Hagrid who says it “gets rid o’ slugs in a jiffy” (he gives Ron some when he’s vomiting up slugs after trying to curse Malfoy.
While we’re a little wary of Hagrid’s creation, treacle fudge is also served at Hogsmeade’s Honeydukes Sweetshop.
According to Hagrid, the traditional treacle fudge recipe contains tentacula sap, valerian, wormseed, germander and cocoa beans. Aside from the coca beans, the other ingredients may prove a little hard to get in the Muggle world, so we’ve adapted the recipe slightly. Serve the treacle fudge as dessert after lunch or dinner.
