A recent report by the New Indian Express says that cranberries have multiple health benefits which has been derived by many scientific researches. The presence of phytonutrients make them quite the superfood along with plenty of nutrients like vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, copper, dietary fiber, and manganese.

Rich in antioxidants, cranberries can be beneficial in many ways. The report by the New Indian Express gives seven benefits of the tart fruit which includes cancer prevention, helpful in urinary tract infection (UTI), heart health and gut health. The report says that anthocyanins, procyanidins, and flavonols present in cranberries have shown to prevent cancer.
The consumption of this sour fruit has also helped reduced the occurring and recurrence of UTI due to the presence of a flavonoid called proanthocyanidins (PAC). The report also says that particular studies have also shown that not only does cranberry juice improve blood flow, but it also increases the good cholesterol, thus bettering heart health. Lastly, cranberries are quite effective in reducing intestinal inflammation and improve microbiome health ultimately resulting in good gut health.
