McDonald’s About To Launch ‘Donut Sticks’ According To Leaked Documents

on

In what can only be describes as the ‘WikiLeaks’ of the food world, Business Insider has obtained internal documents from McDonald’s that seem to confirm the addition of a new breakfast item *drum roll* – Donut Sticks.

While ordinarily this wouldn’t be considered ‘ground-breaking news’ (unless, of course, it’s a slow news day *hint hint*), it looks as if these ‘Donut Sticks’ bear a shocking resemblance to Dunkin’s Donut Fries.

The leaked documents describe the offering as “strips of sweetened dough that are deep fried until golden brown, then sprinkled with cinnamon sugar.” The document further intimates that the Donut Sticks will only be served during breakfast.

According to BI, McDonald’s didn’t confirm whether or not they had any plans to roll out a new menu item, but said in a statement that customers could expect “more delicious and craveable news to come in 2019.” Watch this space for more updates on this earth-shattering story (that hopefully ends with some sort of shade thrown by Wendy’s).
