McDonald’s Is Planning To Change The Size Of Its Iconic Big Mac

on

Arguably the most iconic product at McDonald’s is the Big Mac. While McDonalds’ across the world have introduced new burgers, nachos and even encouraged patrons to dip their fries in milkshakes, the Big Mac has remained a strong, steady presence.

Until now.

The Big Mac Gets Smaller – And Bigger!

The chain has announced that in early 2017 it will be rolling out mini and extra-large versions of the Big Mac. The classic Big Mac has two 1/10 pound patties, three pieces of bread, two slices of cheese, lettuce, pickles, onions and a special sauce.

“The Big Mac is a legend and a great-tasting burger with hints of pickle relish, mustard, garlic and onions,” McDonald’s Chef Mike Haracz said in a statement. “We listened to our customers who told us they wanted different ways to enjoy the one-of-a-kind Big Mac taste. The classic combination of ingredients remains timeless and customers around the world continue to enjoy its signature taste.”

So, the Mac Jr (the smaller version of the Big Mac) will have a single 1/6 pound burger patty while the Grand Mac (a bigger Big Mac) will have 66% more beef than the classic Big Mac, an extra slice of cheese and a large bun.
