Of the many things that are vital to Indian households, potato dishes and chai-time snacks are two that are probably the most indispensable. The former finds its way into pretty much every dish, cuisine, and region, while there is no evening possible without a bowlful of the latter. And what is better than a snack made of potatoes, a.k.a. aloo bhaja.
Aloo Bhaja is essentially deep-fried potato shreds seasoned with salt and some turmeric to give it the signature aloo bhujiya yellow. And while there are a number of marketplaces that sell packaged aloo bhaja, there is nothing like a batch of homemade ones. Follow this recipe to make some at home! You can even switch it up by adding a teaspoon of red chili powder while seasoning the potatoes with turmeric.
