Basil Pesto Recipe
Pesto is a sauce originating in Genoa, the capital city of Liguria, Italy. Now, it’s easily available in stores, but why buy them when you can easily whip them up in your kitchen! You can spread it on a sandwich, mix it with pasta or have it just like that!

Ingredients
- 2 cups of Fresh Basil Leaves
- 1/4 cup of toasted pine nuts
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- •Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup of olive oil

Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to the blender.
- Blend them well. If needed, brush down the sides and blend again. Add more salt, if required.
- Add 1tbsp of olive oil and blend again.
- Keep blending until the mixture is smooth and saucy.
Recipe Notes
Make sure that you refrigerate the sauce if you don't use it immediately.
