Classic Bread Stuffing Recipe

Ingredients
- 12 cups of bread cubed
- 1 cup of unsalted butter
- 1 cup of minced onion
- 1 1/2 cups of chopped celery or capsicum
- 1 cup of chopped mushroom
- 1 cup of minced carrot
- 2 tsps of Salt
- 1 tsp of Pepper
- 1 tbsp of sage or thyme

Instructions
- Melt the butter in a saucepan
- When heated, add the onion, capsicum, carrot and mushroom and fry until the vegetables become soft
- Add the salt, pepper and sage. Stir and cook until the mixture is coated well.
- Remove from heat and set aside
- Pour 1/4 cup of this mixture on the bread cubes and toss well
- Repeat until the entire mixture is used
- Serve it hot
Recipe Notes
If you are cooking a turkey, you can put this stuffing inside the turkey and bake it. It can also be had as a snack.
