Instructions
- In a baking tray lined with parchment paper, combine the oats, almonds, coconut flakes, walnuts, wheat germ powder and chia seeds.
- Keep the tray in the Oven for a few minutes until it appears slightly roasted.
- Meanwhile, whisk together coconut oil, honey, flax seed powder and light brown sugar.
- Once the ingredients on the tray smell nice and toasty, take them out and mix them with the whisked ingredients.
- Add the dried fruits to this mixture and combine them into the mixture with your hands.
- Press the mixture into the same baking tray. You can use the flat bottom of a tumbler or a cup to press it into the tray and even it out.
- Put the tray into a preheated oven with a temperature of a 175 degree Centigrade and leave it to bake for 35 minutes.
- After 35 minutes, it should come out brown and chewy. If your bars are still white, you can brown the top by using just the top heating element in the oven for 10 minutes at 100 degree centigrade.
- Leave it to cool for at least an hour. Then, remove it from the tray and cut into bars as you please. You can store them for at least two to three weeks in the fridge.
