Dry Fruit Saffron Biryani Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 cups Long-grained Basmati rice
- 4 tbsp ghee
- 5-6 tsp Saffron strands mixed in 4lukewarm milk
- 200 gm Mixed Dry fruits- prunes cashews, almonds, raisins or walnuts etc
- 1 tsp amchur powder
- 2 tsp Biryani powder
- salt to taste

Instructions
- 1.Cook the rice with salt to taste and drain excess water, if any.
- 2.Use half the ghee to sprinkle on the rice and set aside.
- 3.Use the remaining ghee to fry the dry fruits and set aside.
- 4.Divide the rice mixture into three portions.
- 5.Mix the first portion with saffron.
- 6.Mix the second portion with biryani and amchur powder.
- 7.Mix the third portion with dry fruits.
- 8.Layer the three portions of rice in a baking dish, one over the other, without mixing.
- 9.Preheat oven to 100 degrees C.
- 10.Bake for 10 minutes, covered with foil.
- 11.Serve hot.
Recipe Notes
Tip: You can garnish with coriander and cashewnuts before serving.
