Game Of Thrones Season 7: Blackberry Wine Recipe
A thrilling new season has begun and winter has finally arrived at Westeros. With a chilly beginning to the first episode (we won’t ruin the suspense) Arya Stark trots along the Riverlands and meets a bunch of merry soldiers. Yes, you gjuessed it right, this is the part where she meets Ed Sheeran starring a soldier and singing in a melodious voice with his lot.
They offer Arya rabbit and blackberry wine. Kudos to their hospitality as it touched Arya and us alike. So here’s the recipe to the gorgeous blackberry wine that she gulps down and let’s raise our glasses to the new season.

Ingredients
- 1.8 kgs blackberries
- 3.15 litres Water
- 1.15 kg sugar
- 1 sachet yeast
- 1 tsp pectolase
- 1 tsp yeast nutrient

Instructions
- Wash the blackberries well so that there is no grit on it.
- Put the berries into a bucket which has been sterilized.
- Start mashing them with a potato masher.
- It might take some time mashing after which the juice will start to come out.
- Boil the water and pour it over the blackberries.
- Leave the mixture to cool till it hits 25°C.
- Stir in the yeast, pectolase and the nutrient.
- Seal the bucket and put in a warm place and stir it at least once a day.
- In three days the yeast will start fermenting so now you can sieve out the fruit and discard the yeast.
- Make sure to transfer the fruit into a sterilized bucket or a demijohn.
- Wash and sterilize the bucket that you used to ferment the yeast and the sugar.
- Now pour the liquid and stir till the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Cover the bucket with a lid,keep it back in the warm place and stujr once a day.
- After 3 days transfer the wine into a demijohn and put an airlock.
- After 2-3 months, rack the wine and put it in a new demijohn.
- Create a gap between the juice and the neck of the demijohn by adding a water and sugar syrup.
- The ratio of sugar and water should be 6oz to 1 pint.
- Bottle the wine after six months and for a finer taste, wait a whole year before you pour yourself a glass.
