Much before unraveling the mystery of the Chamber of Secrets, Harry and his friends head down to meet Hagrid once their first term of their second year at Hogwarts begin.

Instructions
Grease an 18 cm sandwich tin and then line it with grease proof paper.
Add sugar and water to a large, heavy saucepan.
Without stirring, dissolve the sugar in the water over medium heat.
Add all the other ingredients at this stage.
Give one good stir and bring the mixture to a boil.
While the boiling process is going on, brush the inside edge of the pan with water.
This will help avoid crystallization.
Boil till the mix reaches a temperature between 132-143 °C.
This temperature means that your mix is at a soft crack stage so remove it from the heat.
Pour it into the sandwich tin and allow to cool a little.
Using a greased knife, mark squares into the toffee and allow to cool completely.
Once the toffee is completely cool, break off the squares and put your treacle toffees into an airtight container.
