James And The Giant Peach Peach Juice Recipe
Roald Dahl was one of our favourite authors as children; he successfully painted magical worlds filled with both relatable human characters and exotic species like giants and oompa loompas. While Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The BFG are some of his more popular works, we also love James and the Giant Peach, which tells the tale of how a little boy – James – uses a giant peach to escape from his mean aunts and his subsequent adventures in the peach. At one point, James and his friends are trapped underwater in the peach, but manage to sustain themselves by eating its sweet flesh. Perhaps our love for the book seeped into our subconscious creating our overwhelming love for peaches.
During summer especially, peaches are a heavenly treat – we eat them plain, with fresh cream, on top of slices of toast or make them into this delicious peach juice to sip on the go.
Want to make your own? Here’s a recipe; enjoy the juice with breakfast, lunch or dinner or sip on it through the day to stay hydrated.
