Krispy Kreme Copycat Raspberry Doughnuts Recipe

- 1/2 ounce yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1 1/2 cup lukewarm milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 5 cups all purpose flour
- 4 cups Oil
- raspberry jam
- 2 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 1/4 cup corn syrup

Instructions
- Mix yeast in some water and leave it for about 10 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl add milk, sugar, salt, eggs, shortening, yeast and two cups of the flour.
- Make a dough using a mixer and adding more flour as you go.
- Once the ingredients are mixed, knead the dough with your fingers.
- Now spread out the flour evenly onto the work surface and using a cutter make 12 equal doughnut rounds.
- Cover the doughnuts and keep them aside for about 45 minutes.
- Heat oil in a wok and bring it up to 375 F and fry the doughnuts till nice and golden brown.
- Drain the excess oil.
- Using a piping bag with the tip, inject the raspberry jam into the donuts.
- Now mix powdered sugar, milk and corn syrup in a bowl.
- Microwave this mixture for half a minute to make the glaze.
- Dip the hot doughnuts carefully into the glaze and let it cool down and set.
