Onam Special: Mambazha Pulissery
A traditional mango curry with a touch of sourness, Mambhaza Pulissery is one of the important side dishes served in Kerala Sadhya.

Ingredients
- 3 mango Peeled and diced
- 1 cup of Grated coconut
- 1 cup of curd
- 1 pinch of Turmeric powder
- 6 = Diced shallots
- 3 green chillies freshly chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 tbsp of Cumin powder
- 1/2 tbsp of Mustard seeds
- 1/2 tbsp of fenugreek seeds
- 2 Dry Red Chillies
- 1/2 cup of Curry Leaves
- 2 tbsp of coconut oil
- •Salt to taste

Instructions
- Grind grated coconut, garlic and cumin seeds to make it into a fine paste.
- Beat the curd until it turns smooth and keep it aside.
- Add the mangoes, turmeric powder, green chillies, shallots and add sufficient amount of water.
- After its cooked for a while, mashed the mangoes a bit. Add the grated coconut, garlic and cumin seeds paste to it.
- Allow it to simmer for a while,and keep stirring it while the beaten curd is added to it. Keep it aside.
- In a pan, heat the coconut oil and add mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds to it. After it pops, add the red chillies. Also, add the shallots and curry leaves. Saute it till it turns golden brown.
- Pour the above mixture into the cooked mambhazaya pulissery, and mix them well.
