Pineapple Rice Recipe

- 1½ cups Water
- 1 cup crushed pineapple
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt to taste
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 cup basmati or jasmine rice
- ½ lime juice
- fresh cilantro chopped

Instructions
- ring water, pineapple, sugar, butter, salt, and red pepper flakes to a boil in a small saucepan. Stir in rice, partially cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove pan from heat, let sit 5 minutes, then fluff rice with a fork. Stir in lime juice and chopped cilantro (per personal taste - I love cilantro so I usually go heavy but you can add as much as you like).
