Starbucks Is Testing Ice Cream And Coffee Concoctions With An Affogato Menu

on

After recently rolling out sous vide egg bites and announcing that it is bottling Teavana teas, Starbucks has made yet another announcement which will have customers flocking to its stores. According to a report from Business Insider, Starbucks is testing concoctions which mix coffee and ice cream.

The Affogato Menu

Starbucks has taken inspiration from the affogato – a coffee based ice cream like dessert – to make its new concoctions.

Ten Starbucks outlets in Boston, Washington and Los Angles have begun offering a Roastery Affogato menu with a ‘Classic Affogato’ for $6 and a ‘Cold Brew Malt’ which is made with ice cream a, small-lot cold brew coffee and chocolate bitters at $8.50.

Meanwhile, over in Orange Country in California, 100 outlets will be serving less expensive affogatos at $6.40 which are made with regular cold brew coffee.

While the coffee brews will – naturally – come from in house, the ice cream will come for Mora Iced Creamery.  Few do coffee better than Starbucks and now that they’ve decided to bring ice cream into the picture we’re very tempted to book a flight to the US.
