Take A Look At This Flawless Vegan & Gluten Free Wedding Cake!

Diets that are hard to follow or ones that do not as many popularly known ingredients are often touted as “difficult” or even “impossible”. For example, what do you even put in a vegan cheesecake, how do you fluff up a gluten-free cake, is soy protein half as delicious as meat? Well, we always have the Internet and social media to look towards when we need inspiration for things that otherwise seem undoable. This vegan and gluten free wedding cake, for example.

Yep, this four-tier beauty was baked and decorated sand any gluten or animal products. And guess what? The cake was made to commemorate the reception of singer Domino Kirke and Gossip Girl star Penn Badgely’s wedding this Monday!

The cake was made by Emily Lael Aumiller of Lael Cakes. “An organic, vegan, and gluten-free orange blossom cake layered with chocolate icing and cacao nibs, covered with lavender icing only seemed fitting for a wedding cake as unique and stunning as Domino Kirke,” Aumiller told People.

The wedding cake boasted of a marbled rosewater fondant to cover the bottom tier and then topped it with three more “semi-naked” cakes. “This custom creation combined Domino’s love of naked cakes with lush fruit, floral notes such as orange blossom, lavender and rosewater and the delicacy of our marbled designs,” she said.


Kirke took to Instagram to share the news, her joy, and pictures of the flawless cakes (in pretty much every way). The bride also thanked the baker for the cake. “Thank you for the vegan, gluten free magic that was our wedding cake,” wrote Kirke.
