Ingredients
For the rice
- 1 cup Basmati rice
- 4 cups Water
- 3 drops oil
- salt as required
For the tawa masala
- 1 capsicum chopped
- 2 tomatoes chopped
- 1 onion chopped
- ginger and garlic a paste as required
- ¼ tsp red chili powder
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp pav bhaji masala
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 carrot chopped
- 1 Potato chopped
- ½ cup green peas
- ½ tsp Lemon juice
- chopped coriander leaves
- salt as required

Instructions
To cook the rice
- Wash the rise well and then soak it for half an hour.
- Put the rice in a cooker, and pour the water in.
- Add the salt and oil and stir well.
- Cook the rice on a medium flame for ten minutes.
- Stain the rice and cover it.
To make the masala
- In a pressure cooker, steam the carrot, potato and peas.
- Once steamed, peel the potatoes and carrot and roughly chop.
- Place a wok on a stove and heat.
- Fry all the spices with butter, cumin seeds, and lemon juice in the wok for 1 minute.
- Add all vegetables, diced and cook until soft.
- Then add the cooked rice and stir well until fully mixed, and serve with chopped coriander leaves to garnish.
