Tea Start Up, The Good Life Company Is Planning On Raising $1 Million
The Good Life Company (TGL Co), a luxury tea start up recently announced that it will be raising $1 million. It’s investors will include Ayesha Takia Azmi and husband Abu Farhan Azmi, who have their own restaurants in Mumbai.

Six months ago, entrepreneurs Bhuman Dani and Shariq Ashraf founded TGL tea.
“At TGL Co. (The Good Life Company), we emphatically believe that the world’s finest teas and blends should be an everyday luxury that celebrate sophistication, tranquillity and good health,” says TGL on its website. “And that is why we are devoted to bringing an articulate revival to the known tea experience by sourcing the best teas in the world and masterfully blending them with innovative flavours and botanicals,” it adds.
TGL sources teas from premium spots and then infuses them with botanicals and flavours to create unique teas. Teas it creates include ‘Chili Romance’ (Masala Indian Green Chai), Strawberry and Aloe and Orange and Mango Oolong.
The Funding
The start-up is looking at raising over Rs.6 crores from new investors. It will use the funds to expand nationally as well as enter the US, UK, Singapore and the Middle East.
“The demographic profile of consumers supports products such as ours. We are exploring different retail options including setting up tea parlours and experience centres,” Dani said in a statement to the press.
