UPDATE: The Internet Has Spoken, Mayochup Is Coming To The States
The internet can be dark and full of terrors, as we discovered last week when mayochup made its debut on Twitter courtesy of a Heinz marketing manoeuvre. Fans were given the option to vote on whether they wanted mayochup to debut in America, with half a million votes required to bring the mashup to the States.
Want #mayochup in stores? 500,000 votes for “yes” and we’ll release it to you saucy Americans.

Mayochup scraped by with a win of 511,880 with 55% of the vote.
We heard you saucy Americans and we’re bringing you our version of the delicious duo you’ve been eating for years. Are you Team Mayochup or should we call it something else? Let us know your thoughts! pic.twitter.com/q0PRofYOO5

Since then, Heinz has confirmed that Mayochup will be happening in America, although we’re not sure if that name is gonna stick as Heinz is continuing to collaborate with fans on the name. Looks like America is pretty stuck on calling it fry sauce. We can’t wait to see what it ends up being called.
