Saravana Bhavan Ribbon Pakoda Recipe

    Ingredients
    
                - 2 cups Rice flour
 - 1 cup Gram Flour
 - 1 tsp Sesame seeds
 - 1/2 tsp crushed cumin seeds
 - 1 tsp red chilli powder
 - 1/4 tsp turmeric
 - 1 pinch Asafoetida
 - 1/2 tsp Salt
 - 2 tbsp Hot oil
 - 1 cup Water
 - Oil for deep frying

    Instructions
    
                - Take both the flours in a mixing bowl along with sesame seeds, crushed cumin, chilli powder, turmeric, asafoetida and salt.
 - Mix it all up and then add hot oil and mix it again.
 - Crumble the mixture using your hands and begin kneading the dough by adding small amounts of water.
 - The dough should be smooth and not sticky.
 - Shape the dough in the form of ribbons using a mold or by flattening them out and then cutting them with a knife.
 - Fry the ribbons in hot oil till they turn golden brown and drain the excess oil.
 - Store in a airtight jar when not in use.
