Ingredients
- 1 cup pumpkin slices
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- salt as required
- water as required
- 1/2 cup Grated coconut
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 3 - 4 green chillies
- 1/4 tsp pepper powder
For the tempering
- 1/4 cup Grated coconut
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 4 Red chillies
- 1 sprig Curry leaves

Instructions
- In a blender or mixer, add grated coconut, garlic, cumin seeds, green chillies, turmeric and pepper powder. Blend until it is a fine paste.
- Keep aside.
- Now dice the pumpkin into small cubes.
- Take a pan and add the pumpking with turmeric powder and salt. Boil in water and mash the pumpkin pieces with a spoon.
- Now add the coconut paste you blended earlier and let the mixture simmer on medium flame.
- Take another pan and heat two tsp of oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds.
- When they start to splutter, add red chillies and curry leaves.
- Now add the grated coconut and stir fry until the coconut turns brown.
- Mix with the pumpkin mashed paste.
