The Cherry Blossom Festival Is Just Around The Corner: Here’s How McDonald’s Japan Is Celebrating
The Cherry Blossom festival is just around the corner in Japan and many are revving up to celebrate the blooming of the beautiful flowering trees. On its part, McDonald’s Japan is selling two new drinks; the McFizz Sakuranbo and the McFloat Sakuranbo.
Cherry Fruit In a Drink
While the cherry blossom trees – or the sakura – don’t produce fruits, McDonald’s is using a cherry variant; Satonishiki to produce its drinks. The McFizz Sakuranbo and the McFloat Sakuranbo are made with Santonishiki juice.
The McFizz Sakuranbo is priced at 250 yen and the McFloat Sukaranbo, which is topped with vanilla ice cream is 310 yen. The drinks will go on sale today and be available until early April.
