Dreams Come True: BeeHex Has Created A Bot Which Prints Edible Pizza
How would you like a robot which was always at your disposal to whip up a delicious pizza? Sounds like #thedreamlife, right? Well, that dream is very close to becoming a reality, thanks to BeeHex, a Silicon Valley start-up which has created a bot that can print edible pizza.
Meet Chef 3D
The bot, which is aptly named Chef 3D works on instructions to create a customised pizza. Users can use an app synced with the bot to select the pizza’s size, the dough, the sauce and the type of cheese. After that’s done, the bot will take a minute to assemble the pizza and then tell you to stick it in the oven for a specified amout of time; about five minutes later, you’ll get a pizza.
Chef 3D To Cook For Astronauts?
Chef 3D was created partially thanks to a $125,000 grant from NASA, who hoped that the bot would be able to whip up appetising pizzas for astronauts who presently have to make do with bland vacuum sealed food.
Before Chef 3D heads out to space, it will begin making its appearance at theme parks, sports stadiums and malls.
