If you’ve not caught the premier episode of Game of Thrones season 6 yet, we’re not going to spoil things for you. But, we will give you a hint, some eventful things are going down in Dorne. That’s all we’re going to say. However, what we will do is share a Dornish recipe, adapted from the Game of Thrones official food blog – Inn at the Crossroads – that you can prepare while you wait for the episode to download.
Dornish Lamb with Honey and Lemon
“The kid had been roasted with lemon and honey. With it were grape leaves stuffed with a melange of raisins, onions, mushrooms, and fiery dragon peppers. ‘I am not hungry,’ Arianne said…After a while, hunger weakened her resolve, so she sat and ate.” -A Dance with Dragon
And we don’t blame her; who can refuse food when it’s described like that? With this recipe, you can move past descriptions and get an actual taste of Dornish lamb, roasted with honey and lemon. Serve the lamb with a side of mulled wine and rice for a main course.
