Get Paid 12,000 Dollars To Be A” Drink Intern”

on

A pale ale beer, a holiday hat and backpack–sounds like the perfect summer. What if we told you that you could get paid 12,000 dollars to have that perfect summer, travelling, discovering new places whilst drinking a LOT of beer?  World of Beer -the Tampa, Florida-based chain of taverns with 77 locations in the U.S is currently looking out for three “Drink It” interns who will be given the responsibility of travelling the nation in search of the ultimate beer experiences, partaking in several behind the scenes secrets of  perfectly brewed beers and tasting them for free because they now have the best job in the world. There is a certain consideration for those who are social media enthusiasts as the internship requires you to share live updates or blog posts about each of your beer related exploits. The internship spans about a four month long period and though remuneration may not be conventional, the drinking sure does make up for it. “Our mantra is ‘drink it in,’ and so ‘drink it intern’ was just a natural extension of what WOB stands for,” says Alyssa Ahern , a WOB representative clarifying they’re pun of a job description.

“The selected Drink it Interns will be World of Beer narrators, capturing content from around the country and the world and sharing it back via WOB social media channels to fans, bringing fresh stories and new insights in the world of brew traveling,” says a company representative. “The interns will be reporting on a behind-the-scenes look at the beer industry, covering brewery and WOB events, while gaining real-world experience in a professional field that offers limitless possibilities.”

The process to apply is fairly simple. Visit their website (https://worldofbeer.com/drinkitintern) and upload a one minute video on your love story with beer.  Hannah Davis, World of Beer’s Director of Brand Marketing, offered this advice:”That passion for beer has to come through really strong in the initial video, but that doesn’t mean you have to be an expert,” she said. “They should be able to tell a story. I want to learn something in the video, so they should catch our eye and be memorable.”

The best applicants will be called in for a live interview before a panel of judges at that World of Beer will be hosting at its locations in nine cities across the US on April 8. Customers at these locations will receive a free beer for voting for their favorite applicant so we’re assuming that the screening process will be quite interactive. World of Beer wants to open up this opportunity to everyone- be it a student, or a working professional. So go ahead beer-lovers and woo them with your passion for beer, your ability to differentiate between a pilsner and a lager and that incredible  knack you have for storytelling   to win the opportunity of a lifetime.
