Guess What Cheesy Treats Burger King Is Serving This Winter

Back in 2013, Burger King regulars were devastated (okay, we exaggerate, but it really was sad) when tater tots were taken off the menu. Now, in response to requests from fans across social media, Burger King has brought the cheesy tater tots back, just for the holiday season.

Did Someone Say Tots?

Tater tots are a popular snack, made by deep frying potatoes to create bite sized crispy treats. Burger King’s Cheesy Tater Tots take regular tots and infuse them with cheese, making them even more indulgent. While the original tots were also stuffed with bacon bits, these ones will be vegetarian friendly.

“Fans have been craving the return of cheesy tots for some time now,” Alex Macedo, president of Burger King North America, said in a statement. “So we wanted to give loyalists a holiday surprise after we heard so many of their requests. Now they’ll be able to warm up to these cozy cheese and potato bites this holiday season.”

To celebrate the reappearance of the Cheesy Tots, Burger King has launched a new ad featuring Napoleon Dynamite’s Jon Heder and Efren Ramirez:

The tots will be available through the holiday season for t $1.99 for 8 pieces.
