Jugnoo Launches Ready-To-Eat Meal Delivery Service
Auto-rickshaw aggregator, Jugnoo, has announced the launch of their delivery service, ‘Meals’. This new venture is part of the company’s newly launched Fatafat app (get it on Android or iOS), that allows patrons in Chandigarh to order ready-to-eat meals during lunch right to their doorstep.
Started in 2014 by graduates from IIT, Jugnoo works like Ola or Uber for autos in the Chandigarh area, where travellers can use their app to book an auto that will take them anywhere within the city. Jugnoo promises affordable rates and maximum customer satisfaction with savings of upto 32% on total costs as compared to other autos.
How does ‘Meals’ work?
Customers can choose from a daily-changing menu that includes sandwiches, meal combos and desserts, without a minimum order amount. Thanks to their growing auto service, the Jugnoo drivers will do the deliveries during their free time. CFO of Jugnoo, Nitish Singh told Business Standard, “The idea is optimum utilisation of the available resources. We have a large network of auto-rickshaws and having them empanelled under Jugnoo, we believe it is our responsibility to ensure their profitability.” And he also added that, “With every new service that we have launched till date, we have ensured that our drivers have a lucrative role to play in it. We are definitely expanding, but with each expansion we are creating new avenues for our drivers to earn extra.”
This new service will offer meal delivery service throughout Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali, taking orders between 12am (midnight) and 12pm every day.
