Rava Fish Fry Recipe
Rava fish fry is an Indian fried fish dish especially popular in the coastal regions of Maharashtra and Goa. Fish is coated in rava or semolina or sooji and then deep fried.
A variety of fish fillets can be used in this recipe; surmai tastes lovely as does basa, salmon and pomfret.
Serve this fish fry as a snack with lime wedges and green chutney.
Ingredients:
500 grams fish fillets
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
20 gm tamarind pulp
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garlic paste
Rava
Oil for deep frying
Recipe:
Combine the chili powder, salt, tamarind pulp, turmeric and garlic.
Marinade the fish in this mixture for 15 minutes.
Heat enough oil for deep frying.
Toss the fish in the rava and immediately dip it into the oil.
Fry the fish until crisp and serve!
