Anjeer Barfi Recipe
Anjeer Barfi, made with figs and dates is the perfect dessert for your Dussehra celebrations.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup of figs chopped well
- 3/4 cup of dates chopped well
- 2 tbsp of raisins optional
- 3/4 cup of nuts (cashews or almonds) chopped well
- 1/8 tbsp of cardamom powder
- A large pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg powder
- 1 tbsp of ghee

Instructions
- In a pan, dry roast the nuts till they turn crunchy. Set them aside.
- Add the chopped figs and 3 tbsp of water to the pan, and cook till they turn soft.
- Add the dates, raisins, cardomom powder and cinnamon poswer, and mix them well. Cook them well till the mixture turn thick and sticky. Add ghee.
- Add the nuts, and cook till the mixture turns firm.
- Add this to a greased plate or butter paper, and roll with a rolling pin. Allow it to cool completey.
- Cut them into a fine square. Refrigerate if not consumed immediately.
