The Cocktail Classics: Whiskey Sour Recipe
We all have that one friend in our group who absolutely adores a Whiskey Sour, and often it’s not the person we’d expect. We all expect the classic flavours of whiskey (duh) and grenadine but did you know that sometimes people put a dash of egg white in it and call it a Boston Sour. Perhaps that bit’s not for me, so this Whiskey Sour recipe is just going to be basic.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces bourbon
- 3/4 ounce Lemon juice
- 3/4 ounce simple syrup one part water one part sugar
- ice
- cherry for garnish
- Lemon wedge for garnish

Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice and shake it up (not off).
- Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish with a cherry and lemon wedge.
